Rena Yamada (born 13 March 1978, Kanagawa Prefecture)[1] is a Japanese presenter and meteorologist. She currently hosts NHK World program Science View, and previously hosted another NHK program, Nihongo Quick Lesson.
Biography[]
Yamada's first claim to fame was winning Keio University's Miss Keio context in 1997. After graduating, she went on to work for Tokyo Broadcasting as a meteorologist, before joining NHK.[2]
Yamada is also a disaster prevention instructor and scuba diver, and regularly participates in triathlons.[3]
She has done two idol videos: Hajimemashite and Mata Aetara.
