Go, Kitchen, Go! is a show on NHK World that focus on chefs traveling around Japan and creating meals based on local ingredients, as well as meeting the famers and locals who help make up that area.
The program is hosted by Taiyo Sugiura, who is accompanied by a profesional chef each episode.
In each episode, Taiyo and a professional chef set out on a two-day trip to local areas in Japan in a specially designed mobile kitchen.
On day one, they meet local food producers, who show their passion and ideas for their products. They also learn how regional specialties are prepared and served.
On day two, they cook new and original menus inspired by the trip, using the local foods and recipes to present to the producers. Each episode illustrates the unique features and cuisines of a particular regional area.
